WELCOME TO THE National Highways & Transport Network
The Sector's Leading Improvement Organisation
The NHT Network is the leading performance improvement organisation for members that share a common interest in measuring and comparing their performance in order to improve.
NHT provides a supported Network environment in which members can:
• measure their own performance
• compare with their peers and
• identify areas for improvement
The Network shares experiences and good practice through member meetings, conferences, facilitated workshops, case studies and practice notes, all accessible via this web site.
Setting standards for your transport network performance
Probably best known for the NHT Public Satisfaction Survey and the CQC Efficiency Network, the NHT Network enjoys growing sector recognition and is referenced in DfT’s Incentive Fund Self-Assessment Questionnaire and in the Audit Scotland Report: Maintaining Scotland's Roads: a follow up report.
What is the NHT Network?
The NHT Public Satisfaction Survey collects public perspectives on, and satisfaction with, Highway and Transport Services in Local Authority areas Nationally.
It is a unique, standardised, collaboration between Highway Authorities across the UK enabling comparison, knowledge sharing, and the potential to improve efficiencies by the sharing of good practice.
A total of 142 Authorities have taken part in the survey over the past 14 years, and 104 Authorities have taken part in CQC over the last seven years.
We are working with Industry leading providers in Ipsos MORI for the Survey and The Institute of Transport Studies at The University of Leeds for CQC, to ensure statistically reliability in the sampling and method used and results provided
